Jenny Hayward is an abstract landscape artist. Her work explores landscape, time, sensory perception and memory through colour, form and gestural marks.
She walks daily in the landscape and works only from visual memory, intuitively allowing the blend of images, energy, colour and form to develop on the surface she is working on.
She grew up in North Wales and studied under the Welsh Landscape painter Peter Prendergast, at Bangor University. She has a first class hons degree in Sculpture from the University of Brighton and an MA from the Slade School of Fine Art, UCL.

Jenny has been Artist in Residence at Towner Gallery, East Sussex, performed her axe drawings at the International Drawing Festival in Brighton, delivered a Pecha Kucha talk and workshops on experimental drawing for Falmouth University and had poetry and drawings published in Dark Mountain, Unpsychology Magazine and Watermarks Anthology.
