Hartland

This is my all-time favourite place to swim, at high tide in the old harbour. The black rocks and the geology are just extraordinary and the water is crystal clear. This landscape blends sea and rock - it's not clear which is which, which reflects the beautiful intensity of the place and is also sometimes how it feels to swim in cold water  - elemental, wild and one.
